PHD Chamber in association with M3M organizes the National Real Estate Summit 2014

DELHI, India - Sept. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- PHD Chamber along with M3M Group organized a day long Annual “National Real Estate Summit 2014” at PHD House, New Delhi. M3M Group was the title sponsor of the event. Summit’s talks and discussions were centered on the theme – ‘Building Smart Cities and Housing for All by 2022’. Chief Guest of the event, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of Urban Development, inaugurated the summit by lighting the lamp. While addressing the dignitaries, Mr. Naidu emphasized on the key challenges and upcoming opportunities in the housing sector. The highlight of the event was to explore the prospects to contribute to growth & development of Real Estate sector in India.

Elaborating on the many aspects where the fast emerging smart city culture will impact our lifestyles, even our lives, Mr. Kunal Banerji, Chief Marketing Officer, M3M Group, in his session said “India is urbanizing rapidly and there is a huge gap between demand and supply in the housing sector which is estimated to only rise further in the future. To cater to this demand, we need to build new cities and not just housing projects and townships. These cities will be driven by technology, usher in optimum use of space, offer sizeable green space, provide robust infrastructure in all spheres including rapid transportation with minimum human intervention. ”

The summit was attended by a large number of delegates from industries, developers, housing technology providers, architects, policymakers, government institutions, regulatory agencies, infrastructure & construction companies and real estate consultants. During the summit, few other important industry issues were also highlighted i.e. prolonged regulatory processes, land related issues, REIT structure and taxation issues.
