Oprah Pick to Make Appearance at Sage Inn & Lounge

PROVINCETOWN, Mass. - Sept. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Provincetown, MA – Sage Inn & Lounge (www.sageinnptown.com), Cape Cod’s leading destination for food enthusiasts, today announced that artist, debut novelist and Oprah pick, Annie Weatherwax, will make her first Cape Cod appearance at Sage Inn & Lounge in Provincetown next Saturday, September 6. In recognition of her newly released fiction novel, All We Had (Scribner, August 5, 2014), Weatherwax will host an afternoon art show and reading.

A sculptor, painter and writer, Weatherwax was the 2009 winner of the Robert Olen Butler Prize for Fiction and has written for The New York Times. A Boston resident and graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, for years she has sculpted superheroes and cartoon characters for Nickelodeon, Pixar, DC Comics and others. Her critically acclaimed debut novel, All We Had, heralds the arrival of a powerful new voice in fiction. Entertainment Weekly and The New York Post recently announced that the book has been optioned by actress Katie Holmes and it was selected as an Oprah Editor’s Pick for best Labor Day read.

Sage Inn & Lounge routinely hosts shows and performances as an extension of their commitment to and passion for the arts. “I have long been an admirer of Annie’s work and to be able to share her amazing art with our guests and the Cape Cod community is something that we couldn’t be more excited about,” said Jeanne Leszczysnki, co-owner of Sage Inn & Lounge.
