Anti-Bullying Music Tour Debuts in Houston

Allstar Nation Tour Debuts in Houston
PRLog - Sep. 3, 2014 - HOUSTON -- A talented group of recording artists are rising against bullying by performing and speaking at schools throughout Texas starting in Houston Monday, September 8 at Katy Junior High School.

The Allstar Nation Tour (http://www.allstarnationtour.com/)– a Houston-based, peer-to-peer anti-bullying music tour - features recording artists ages 12 to 24 who perform and speak out against bullying in schools. Artists are well-known among their peers and perform Top 40 and original songs. Between song performances, the artists speak out against bullying, share personal experiences, and prevention methods. There is no charge to schools for the 90-minute assembly performances.

“Now that school is back in session, it’s important to be in front of students early to teach them that bullying in any form is not acceptable,” said tour founder Dillon Smith. “Our goal here is to reduce or end bullying. We found that our peer-to-peer method coupled with music entertainment resonates with the kids, and provides a lasting memorable affect.”

Several recording artists will be featured on the tour. Three of the four artists are from the Houston area. Scheduled to perform in Houston are New Caney, Texas native Branden Mendoza (http://www.myonlyescape.com/), 21, who competed on NBC’s “The Voice” Season 6 held earlier this year; Frisco, Texas native and pop singer Tristan Blaine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8oqQWqsLr0), 15, a fan favorite who refer to themselves as “Blaniacs”; and Micaiah Walker, 24, of Houston who is the lead singer of rock band VerseCity (http://www.versecity.com/); and Boston native and Nashville recording artist Jessie Chris (http://3d5.1de.myftpupload.com/), 17, who has opened for several country stars such as Chris Young and Ayla Brown
