By: Cincy Chic The event is open to the public and welcomes families and furry friends to attend. Participants are encouraged to bring their dog to Washington Park Glendale between 11am-5pm to enjoy a variety of activities the event has to offer. Registration opens at 11am; parade starts at noon and dress up contest runs until 2:30 (more than $300 in prizes!); the Creative Grooming Exhibition runs from 1-4pm; Stuffed Animal Dress Up contest registration opens at 11am and the contest runs from noon until 2:30; Lure Course (small fee to run course; all proceeds benefit the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden); Agility Course (free to run course + see demonstrations) The event is free for attendees to witness the unique and artistic Creative Grooming Exhibition. There is a $10 fee to enter the Spookiest Pooch dress up contest and parade with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (People’s Choice). Contest participants will receive a printed photo from professional photographer Amanda Evans, join in the Spooky Pooch Parade, and receive a thank you bag with coupons and other goodies. Online registration offers the opportunity to designate $5 of the fee as a direct donation to the registered local rescue organization of choice. The registration fees as well as all other proceeds from the event will benefit the Glendale HWB Community Center, The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, the Cincinnati SPCA, and any other approved local rescue organization who registers with The Spooky Pooch event organizers.
