“Team Red" of HGTV’s “Flipping The Block” appearing at Finale Watch Party after Saints Game

NEW ORLEANS - Sept. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Louisiana design firm, AJM Design+Build is hosting the Grand Finale watch party for Home and Garden Television’s (HGTV) newest reality series “Flipping The Block”, after the Saints/Falcons Game.  Competing as “Team Red”, New Orleans sisters, Anicka Jones Marshall and Shauna Jones Williams will be on hand to meet and greet fans on Sunday, September 7, 2014, at the Mellow Mushroom, 3131 Veterans Memorial Blvd., in Metairie, LA.  The event will also include a “Flipping The Block” Marathon before the grand finale episode.  The event is free and open to the public.

New Orleans sisters’ Marshall and Williams altered a dilapidated condo into an artistic masterpiece.  Marshall’s construction expertise and Williams’ artistic flare combined to make them a fan favorite on HGTV’s #1 rated series “Flipping the Block.”  As the only all-female team, the New Orleans’ sisters, demolish, reconstruct, and strategically design their condo in hopes of winning the grand prize of $50,000.  The incredible obstacles they overcome and the character they demonstrate in completing the weekly challenges are remarkable.  The winners will be announced during the final episode Sunday, September 7^th.


Marshall and Williams: siblings, mom’s, and best friend’s, were hand-selected from thousands of entries to compete on the show.  “The opportunity materialized very quickly when we suddenly found ourselves on a plane to New York City to meet with show producers,” Marshall says . “Together, we possess a broad range of skills in the areas of design, construction, artistic ability, and experience in house flipping!”  Williams stated, “This is truly a family affair for us.  We are competing, not only for the sake of competition, but in order to offer our children financial security.”  Marshall continues,  “This chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity will hopefully elevate AJM Design+Build to the next level; which will in turn allow us to provide for our families.  We’re inviting New Orleans and the surrounding communities to share this experience and watch us compete for the grand prize.”
Flipping The Block, an epic eight-part series hosted by Josh Temple, follows four competing teams as they transform identical run-down condos — then sell them to the highest bidder.   In addition, Scott McGillivray (Income Property, Host) or Nicole Curtis (Rehab Addict, Host) offers expert remodeling advice to all four teams, ultimately deciding the winner of each week’s challenge.  “Flipping The Block” airs Sunday night, 8 pm central, on HGTV.
