MILWAUKEE - Sept. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- "The Itsy Bitsy Spider...went up the water spout." Every child and adult knows the classic nursery rhyme "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." But you've never seen him like this!

Rebecca Emberley and her father, Caldecott award-winner Ed Emberley, have released their version of the timeless tale as an interactive iPad app in association with Little Bahalia Publishing. This project is a follow-up to the illustrated hardcover picture book published by Two Little Birds in 2013.

Peter Black, the musician who performs the singalong, keeps the original rhyme intact and sings it in a deep, gentle voice that young children will love. With the app, readers can choose to either listen and follow along as the book is read aloud, or they can sing along with the musical version.

The Emberleys' cut-paper illustrations explode with vibrant colors, sure to captivate viewers of every age. Illustrations have been animated in such a way as to make the cut-paper pieces seem to dance across the page, poetically matching the words of the story.

"The talented daughter-father team of Rebecca Emberley and Ed Emberley has remixed the classic in their trademark style, deftly delivering a stunning color palette, palpable rhythm, and steady movement," says the Parents' Choice Awards.

The iPad app is available for download in the iTunes App Store. Other animated children's apps from Little Bahalia Publishing include Teeny Tiny Trucks, written by Tim McCanna and illustrated by Keith Frawley, and the award-winning series A Troop is a Group of Monkeys (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/a-troop-is-a-group-of-monkeys/id601767840?mt=8), written by Julie Hedlund and illustrated by Pamela Baron.
