“Interviews with Novelists,” an issue of the Pennsylvania Literary Journal has been released

The poets are all also very established professors, editors and writers, and include: Kika Dorsey, Diane Sahms-Guarnieri, KV Wilt, and Michael Zucaro.

Anna Faktorovich is the Director and Founder of the Anaphora Literary Press. Faktorovich has over three years of full-time college English teaching experience. She has a Ph.D. in English Literature and Criticism and an M.A. in Comparative Literature. Her Rebellion as Genre in the Novels of Scott, Dickens and Stevenson critical book has been published with McFarland in February, 2013. Her new book, The Formulas of Popular Fiction: Elements of Fantasy, Science Fiction, Romance, Religious and Mystery Novels, is completed and will be released with McFarland in October, 2014. Two additional critical books are forthcoming with Anaphora: Gender Bias in Mystery and Romance Novel Publishing: Mimicking Masculinity and Femininity and Wendell Berry’s New Agrarianism and Beyond; for the latter she received a Kentucky Historical Society fellowship. She published two poetry collections Improvisational Arguments (Fomite Press, 2011) and Battle for Athens (Anaphora, 2012). The first novel in her Anaphora historical novels series is forthcoming 9/12/2014, The Romances of George Sand; the second novel in this series is nearing completion, The Battle for Democracy. She published two fantasy novellas with Grim’s Labyrinth Publishing: The Great Love of Queen Margaret, the Vampire and The Campaigns against the Olden. She illustrated, designed and wrote the poetry for an illustrated children’s book, The Sloths and I (Anaphora, 2013).

The Anaphora Literary Press was started as an academic press with the publication of the Pennsylvania Literary Journal (PLJ) in 2009. In the Winter of 2010, Anaphora began accepting book-length submissions. Anaphora has now published over 80 creative and non-fiction books. John Paul Jaramillo’s collection of short stories received an honorable mention for the Latino Literacy Now’s Mariposa Award Best First Fiction Book Award. Professors have taught from a few Anaphora books. Many Anaphora writers have scheduled readings at major bookstores. Anaphora books have also had several articles published about them in regional newspapers. PLJ has featured interviews with best-selling science fiction writers like Larry Niven, and young adult writers like Cinda Williams Chima, James Dashner and Carrie Ryan, as well as interviews with the winners of the Sundance and Brooklyn Film festivals.
