New Invacare® Rea® Dahlia™ - An active twist on passive mobility

CARDIFF, Wales - Sept. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Invacare^® is pleased to present the recently launched tilt-in-space chair: the Invacare^® Rea^® Dahlia™.The Dahlia’s modern design incorporates the changing needs of the client along with ease of use for the carer. Providing the same high level of adjustment options that are renowned with the Rea^® range plus a number of additional features and benefits, the Dahlia™ really is the next generation tilt-in-space chair.

It’s slim, compact design allows for exceptional manoeuvring around indoor environments, making it ideal for passive clients or those who wish to retain their independence. The overall width of this ergonomic chair is comparable to an active chair.

The Dahlia™ is available in two tilt in space ranges, 30° or 45°, improving comfort and positioning capabilities whilst providing effective pressure relief for clients. The centre of gravity adjustment option, available on both models, allows for better weight distribution for the client and the unique tilt option on the 45° model makes the tilt function light, smooth and easy to use for the carer.

Suitable pivot points for positioning allow for minimised deep tissue damage and a reduction in friction and shear forces. This works by the back and backrest, or legrests, moving through suitable arcs to enable a smooth weight shift transition. For added stability, the chair also features Rea^®’s patented DSS (Dual Stability System).

There is component cross compatibility across the Rea^® product range, including the Flex3 seating system, along with the option to use the renowned Matrx^® back support systems for added stability and support.
