Free Open House and Luau at Conejo Y, September 21

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Aug. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- A family luau, exercise classes and swimming are part of a free community open house at the Conejo Valley YMCA on Sunday, September 21 from noon to 3:00 p.m.

         Group exercises begin at 12:15 with kids’ fitness for ages 4 through 12. At 1 p.m. is barworks with it’s full range of exercises for adults and teens. At 1:45 is a Zumba class followed at 2:30 with an aquatic exercise class. Free swimming in the Y’s heated indoor pool will be available throughout the open house (lifeguards will be on duty).

         The family luau will be at the Y’s lower field. “They’ll be lei making, hula dancing and lots of Hawaiian food,” says Zak Howell, Conejo Y’s program director.

         Membership information will be available. Those who sign up will receive a month’s free membership for October and a gift pack of YMCA items. “The luau is a great way to see what the Y is all about and to meet community members who already belong to the Y family,” says Howell.
