NEW YORK - Aug. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- In efforts to show Angolan fashion to the world, style visionary and fashion show producer Dinelia Da Silva of Dinelia Productions and Events (Luanda, Angola) has partnered with StyleWise International (NYC), to carefully curate a selection of designers to implode the New York City fashion week scene.  The Angola International Fashion Show, also known as AIFS, is a fashion experience established to push the boundaries of creativity, while nurturing the connections and profitable relationships between designers, models, buyers and stylists. As a world-renowned fashion initiative, reaching markets in Paris, Canada, Nigeria and the Caribbean, AIFS is meritoriously elevating the name of Angola at highest level in fashion world.

On September 8th, AIFS will platform eight (8) designer collections exclusively for the spring/summer 2015 New York Fashion Week season. All runways shows will take place at the illustrious Helen Mills Event Space in Chelsea. AIFS will first present their designer collective at 2pm, featuring Dina Simão, Yhaniqua Lopes, Feelo’je, and Lucrecia Moreira.

Portugal based model-turned designer Dina Simão, combines a European and African aesthetic for sophisticated and sensual silhouettes. Lucrecia Moreira, one of Angola’s top designers, creates “modern style” with roots in tradition. Independent label Feelo’je, designed by Janay Reymond (Anguilla, Caribbean), is the youngest designer among the ranks. At a mere 17 years old the designer will present a swimwear collection inspired by world travel, family and deeply-rooted culture. Rounding out the collective is Angola born Ariane Fonseca of Yhaniqua Lopes, a line dedicated to women’s interest and empowerment.

At 6pm, AIFS will present their celebrity series with Unbothered by Teyana Taylor and Toure Designs. Inspired by his father and America’s hip-hop culture, Alhassan Toure of Toure Designs, has successfully commanded the attention of the fashion industry. With a myriad of celebrity clients, including LL Cool J, Raekwon, and Young Jeezy, the Ghana born designer continues to not disappoint with a dual gender collection of distinctive designs.

Fresh off the release of her high anticipated “Maybe”, rap superstar songstress and Good Music artist Teyana Taylor, will debut her Unbothered by Teyana Taylor collection at New York Fashion Week. Much like the designer herself, the collection will be a pairing of street style chic and masculine androgyny.

AIFS will conclude with an 8pm designer premiere collective, presenting Allex Kangala and Lisete Pote. Pote, an Angola native, will present her renowned collection as dressed by international dignitaries, celebrities and socialites; while the impeccably tailored menswear collection from Allex Kangala acts as the perfect finale to such a momentous fashion occasion.
