Barbara Gilbert Interiors Wins First Place ASID Legacy of Design Award for Contemporary Living Area

DALLAS - Aug. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX  --  August 29, 2014 – Barbara Gilbert Interiors of Dallas, Texas has been awarded  “First Place - Contemporary Living Area” 2014 by the American Society of Interior Design (ASID), Texas Chapter (http://asidtx.org/). This award was 1 out of 4 Legacy of Design Awards the firm received for 2014.

AISD is the oldest and largest association for interior designers in the United States and Canada with a network of 48 chapters and over 30,000 members. The AISD Texas Chapter is the largest of the 48 chapters. The annual competition recognizes the finest interior design achievements within the Texas Chapter.

The project recognized was the living area of a high-rise condominium designed for new empty nesters desiring an updated and simplified lifestyle. The style was a complete 180 from their traditional past. The goal was to make the space feel like home without compromising its contemporary architecture.
