Follow on Google News | Carlisle Auctions Presents the Fall Carlisle Collector Car AuctionBuying and Selling Made Easy October 2-3 at the Carlisle Expo Center
By: Carlisle Events The auction itself runs October 2-3 (preview day is October 1) and is at the aforementioned Carlisle Expo Center. Auction fun starts daily at 3 p.m. and runs until about 11 p.m. each night. Accessing the building is easy, as there are multiple parking areas near the Expo Center, or if onsite for Fall Carlisle, shuttles are made available to move guests between the grounds and the auction. Of course, it is also within easy walking distance being less than two blocks from Gate 3. Admission is just $10 per day with kids 12 and under admitted free. A singular ticket allows for reciprocating access between the fairgrounds and Expo Center. Once within the Carlisle Expo Center, enthusiasts can enjoy thrilling collector car action, much like what they witness frequently on TV. Cars, trucks and motorcycles will sell at varying prices and there will be something for everyone. Lots may range from the high four figures to mid six figures. And getting involved is easy too. With Carlisle Auctions revolutionary FREE UNLESS SOLD policy, consigning a car could not be easier. While certain obligations are required on the front end of the process, ultimately if a consigned car does not sell, the owner receives all deposits back related to the consignment. Further, having this unique policy in place helps price cars to sell and helps better connect seller with buyer. Ultimately, it not only increases the quality of cars offered within the auction, but the quantity of cars available too. Speaking of which, this year’s Fall Carlisle Auction is expected to be limited to 300 consignments. Within the lot of 300 will be some very unique cars. One such car is part of the Chip Miller collection and is being consigned by Lance Miller, co-owner of Carlisle Events. The car, an unrestored 1956 Corvette, has less than 60,000 original miles on it and is one of just 1,043 to come in Venetian Red. Nearly every aspect of the car is original. In addition, former BMW dealer Ed Ullom has committed multiple cars from his collection, including an ultra rare 2001 BMW Z8 with only 15,000. While there are many classic BMWs slated to cross the block, Ullom’s cars also include an AMC Rambler, Chevrolet Corvair, Studabaker Hawk GT, Willys 3J3B, Dodge Lancer, Subaru DL, a pair of International Scouts, a Chrysler Lebaron as well as a Chrysler 5th Ave. and even some modern day rides like a 2004 Volkswagen Phaeton and 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8. The list goes on, as do additional consignments. To view all of the cars that are part of the Ed Ullom collection, see more about Miller’s Corvette, check out the other consignments or to gain data on how to be part of an upcoming Carlisle Auction, visit www.CarlisleAuctions.com.
