Barbara Gilbert Interiors Wins ASID Legacy of Design Award for Contemporary Home Office

DALLAS - Aug. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX  --  August 28, 2014 – Barbara Gilbert Interiors of Dallas, Texas has been awarded  “Second Place - Contemporary Singular Space” 2014 by the American Society of Interior Design (ASID), Texas Chapter (http://asidtx.org/). This award was 1 out of 4 Legacy of Design Awards the firm received for 2014.

AISD is the oldest and largest association for interior designers in the United States and Canada with a network of 48 chapters and over 30,000 members. The AISD Texas Chapter is the largest of the 48 chapters. The annual competition recognizes the finest interior design achievements within the Texas Chapter.

The project recognized was a contemporary home office designed for a new construction, net-zero-ready home built by Sterling Brook Custom Homes. Finishes and furnishings were selected with air quality, eco-friendly materials and an organic color palette in mind. The office and home itself were built to prove living green does not mean sacrificing style or performance!
