POOLE, U.K. - Aug. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Following on from the amazing success of last year’s bike ride, the Keytek™ team will be taking part in this year’s charity cycle event the ‘Glastonbury Bike Ride 2014’ in aid of Charity the ‘British Heart Foundation’. With less than four weeks to go the Keytek™ team have been rigorously training in preparation for the big event and are all raring to go!

The Keytek™ Team will be setting off from the starting line located in Glastonbury, Somerset on Sunday 21st September. Participants will have the choice of either a 27 or 48 mile cycle across the picturesque countryside of Somerset. Those participating in last year’s cycling event managed to raise over £2,250 in sponsorship, beating their original target of £1,500. This year the Team will be looking to smash last year’s total by aiming to raise £2,500.

Previously the Keytek™ team have taken part in several charity bike rides, including last year’s ‘Glastonbury Bike Ride’ and the gruelling ‘80 mile from Bath to Bournemouth Cycle’, all of which have been in aid of the ‘British Heart Foundation’.

Follow every step of the Keytek™ team’s progress from training to the big event on Twitter (www.twitter.com/Keytek_UK) or Facebook (www.facebook.com/keyteklocksmiths).

The ‘British Heart Foundation’ funds research, education, care and awareness campaigns aimed at helping to prevent heart disease. All donations made will help to save lives whether it is through groundbreaking research, helping to provide vital information to help keep hearts healthy or helping to support and care for heart patients and their families. Just £50 can help to fund vital lab work - Researchers regularly need to measure the levels of specific biological factors in tissue or blood samples. One assay kit, to measure the level of a specific factor in a series of samples costs at least £50.
