PRLog - Aug. 27, 2014 - FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Above Board Chamber of Florida (http://www.aboveboardchamber.com/) is proud to present How to Get Discovered by the Media from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, September 8, at the Hilton Naples and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, September 11, at The Landings Yacht, Golf and Tennis Club in Fort Myers.

Why does the media latch onto some stories and organizations and not others? What constitutes a compelling angle and what tools can you use to pitch it? What are the media’s pet peeves and how can you avoid them? Learn all this and more from the Above Board Chamber’s panel of experts, representing top broadcast and print media professionals.

The Naples luncheon meeting will be emceed by Sue Huff of E. Sue Huff and Associates and will feature a panel including: Gulfshore Business EditorPhil Borchman, Beasley Broadcast Group Vice President of Corporate Communications Denyse Smith Mesnik, Florida Weekly Editor Cindy Pierce, Southwest Florida Business Today Publisher Karen Moore, Business Observer Lee/Collier Editor Jean Gruss, WINK TV Marketing Consultant Kendra Sutton and Naples Daily News Senior Local News Editor Allen Bartlett.

The Fort Myers luncheon meeting will be emceed by Connie Ramos-Williams of CONRIC PR & Marketing | Publishing. Registration on or before Friday, September 5 will be $25 for members and $28 for friends. After September 5, registration will be $28 for members and $33 for friends.
