PRLog - Aug. 27, 2014 - SIERRA MADRE, Calif. -- Recycled water bottles never looked so good! Ecogear manufactures many of their backpacks using REPREVE materials made from recycled water bottles. REPREVE takes the water bottles, cleans them, chops them up and turns them into chips. After that, the chips gets turned into fabric. With this technology, Ecogear is able to create a whole line of fun and cool bags that are not only green, but stylish, functional and priced right. Every product that Ecogear offers is PVC free and meets all CPSIA standards on phthalates. Our line includes packs for all ages and functions – from Pre-K, the Blue Monkey or Chick, all the way up to traveling business person – our Black Rhino. For Fall 2015, Ecogear introduces a three new product lines – the Dhole, the Rolling Dhole and the Deluxe Ecozoo.
The Deluxe Ecozoo animals are an update and improvement from the wildy successful original cotton Ecozoo animals. They are just as cute and fun – but now they are made with fabrics from REPREVE. The 900 denier polyester is rugged, durable and water resistant – perfect for what children will put them through! Jimmy Chen, founder and President of Ecogear says, “We wanted to enhance the functionality of our current Ecozoo line. We listen to our customers – parents and children – and they wanted more features.” Ecogear definitely delivered the additional features. The Deluxe Ecozoo now has two zippered compartments. The main compartment is roomy and can fit an 8 ½ x 11” folder, a small book and a light jacket or sweater. The front zipper compartment is large enough to hold toys, snacks, or whatever else children can find to put in there. Dual side mesh pockets are always a plus for holding water bottles. Padded shoulder straps help keep the bag comfortable for little ones. With these additional features, one would think the price would also go up – but it did not. Staying in line with their philosophy of making products affordable for everyone, the MSRP stays the same as the original Ecozoo at $35.99.
Ecogear’s new Fall 2015 additions definitely speak to their core principles - building quality bags that are functional, stylish and eco-friendly – all the while, keeping the price that won’t shock you. The additional features and the recycled fabrics really make the Deluxe Ecozoo line the perfect bag for kids of all ages. The clean and modern lines of the new Dhole and Rolling Dhole is a great addition to their current line of backpacks as it can be used by everyone – from tweens to adults. Once again, Ecogear shows that you don’t have to sacrifice quality, style or your wallet in order to go green and be ecofriendly.
