Out With A Bang - In With Carter's Free New Thriller

SOUTHEND, U.K. - Aug. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Solomon Carter’s new thriller novel Out With a Bang is released and freely available for download this week at Amazon’s Kindle Store. Out With a Bang is book 1 of the Long Time Dying thriller series, an epic story which has taken writer Solomon Carter 18 months to complete. “It’s been a long time writing!” jokes Carter. The novel stars troubled lovers and private detectives, Dan Bradley and Eva Roberts and their adventures set against a backdrop of Southend, Essex and South London.  Dan Bradley is a brash ex-boxer while Eva is a cool and beautiful red head. The two lead characters could not be more different as they clash with each other on their quest to locate a devious runaway husband. The quest which takes them into the heart of a dirty secret and plenty of unwanted danger, including a meeting with irresistible femme fatale, Anna Eavis.When asked why he chose South London and Southend as settings for his thrillers, Solomon Carter, 37, revealed that he has intimate experience of both areas.
"I’ve spent the sum of my years living in both areas and watched them change an awful lot. They are frenetic and Southend is like a microcosm of the city. I had some hairy adventures myself in South London during my teens and twenties, and Southend is a great place to set stories with so many changes in landscape and people. I’ve tried to capture the essence of both locations throughout the Long Time Dying series- and they work brilliantly as a back drop to adventures with gangsters, hard men, drug dealers, prostitutes, fast cars and guns to boot."
Carter says the series is one of his proudest achievements. "Writing was what I wanted to do my whole life. Then I finally got started. Writing one book was difficult, but a blast. Writing a five book series in Long Time Dying has been amazing!”
The first free instalment, Out With a Bang starts in 2011 with the final three parts bringing us up to date in a nitty-gritty 2014. "First and foremost this is a thriller series.  It is about the characters being pitted against formidable circumstances which would destroy most people, but Eva and Dan are fighters.
