At Pedego Blue Ridge, It’s a Love Story

IRVINE, Calif. - Aug. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- John and Suzie Soave fell in love with Pedego electric bikes at first ride. While renting Pedego bikes on vacation, they were so taken by them that they purchased two on the spot. As often happens with Pedego owners, they talked about opening a Pedego store of their own. But it wasn’t until John spoke with his business associate Chip Cipcic that their plans rolled ahead for a Pedego store in Blue Ridge, Georgia. The store — aptly named Pedego Blue Ridge — opened to a slew of delighted customers, and the rest is, well … a happy beginning.

Chip Cipcic enjoyed a passion for electric bikes for years before opening Pedego Blue Ridge with the Soaves. He’s thrilled to share the fun. “The most rewarding thing about selling Pedego electric bikes is seeing a customer grin from ear to ear when they take off on their first ride,” said Cipcic at a recent Pedego event. “We call it the 'Pedego Smile.’” Partner John Soave agrees. “These are fun machines that let people experience the joy of biking again.”

Everyone involved in setting up the store is excited about its location. Blue Ridge, Georgia’s most-popular mountain resort area, boasts a quaint downtown area that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. Most come from the Southeastern United States, especially nearby Atlanta and Florida. Cipcic and the Soaves found an old vacant gas station in the center of town and knew it would be the perfect location. Before long, the site was transformed into a vibrant, colorful Pedego store that is attracting attention from locals and visitors alike. “Everyone loves the bikes,” says Suzie Soave. “We’ve already had a busy summer and we’re just getting started!”

Those interested in taking test rides are heartily welcomed at Pedego Blue Ridge, and the store even has its own test track — making test rides easy and fun for shoppers. Tours are available, as well. Fun activities at the store includes guided tours to three of the most-popular tourist attractions in the area: Lake Blue Ridge, the Toccoa River and Historic Downtown Blue Ridge. Of course, bikes can also be rented for those who crave the adventure of exploring on their own.

The Pedego team has already built a solid following at Blue Ridge Rotary Club events, the Fourth of July Parade, the Coldwell-Banker Regional Real Estate Conference and the Arts in the Park Festival. They are also part of a popular local promotion called The Ultimate Adventure Sweepstakes.
