ProEx has teamed up with Blue Back, LLC to form the Mercy in Motion Team, members of which will receive six weeks of training in preparation of the October 11th 5K. Training will be provided by ProEx Physical Therapist Kristen Fiola and Exercise Technician Kim Cooper at Elizabeth Park in Hartford beginning Tuesday, September 2nd.
Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome and will receive training to ready them physically and mentally for the 5K while helping to raise funds for the Mercy Housing and Shelter Corporation, which provides housing assistance and supportive services to those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
“If you’ve ever thought of conquering a 5K road race or want to beat your personal best, becoming a member of the Mercy in Motion Team is a terrific opportunity to not only compete in the NU Hartford Marathon but also to help raise funds for an organization that does so much for so many people,” said Tina McDonald, Regional Clinical Director at ProEx.
