Jennifer Garant, Internationally Known Artist, To Lead Workshop at La Quinta Resort This October

REDONDO BEACH, Calif. - Aug. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Fans of artist Jennifer Garant will have the opportunity to meet her in person and participate in her creative painting workshop at the Women At Woodstock retreat in La Quinta, California this October. Garant will be teaching “A Work In Progress,” an outdoor hands-on painting session that has an unusual twist. Jennifer’s workshop will be held twice - on October 27 and 28 - and registration is open now for the retreat and also for the individual workshop. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Garant is known for her absolutely delightful images of men and women – and sometimes cats and dogs – with hugely oversized bodies and tiny faces and even tinier feet. They’re so popular that not only do aficionados collect her original paintings, they look for her work in posters, limited edition prints, on dishware, linens, trays, gift bags, cutting boards, and more. Garant is one of the most highly licensed artists in the world. Her Signature Chefs have been distributed world-wide on a wide variety of licensed products for the home, and her art has been distributed on posters in over 50 countries as well as on thousands of products for the home.

Women At Woodstock is an online community and a series of on-the-ground retreat experiences for women 50 and over. Founded in 2012 with a retreat held at Emerson Resort in Woodstock, NY, this year Women At Woodstock is holding three retreats:

•   Charleston Harbor Resort & Spa - Charleston, SC - October 19-21
•   La Quinta Resort & Spa - Palm Springs, CA - October 26-28

Women At Woodstock retreats are limited in size in order to maintain intimacy and make it possible for attendees to get to know one another and meet and work personally with all speakers and workshop leaders. Only 100 women will be accepted at each. Garant's workshops are open to all retreat registrants at no additional charge. Non-registrants also can sign up for her workshops for a single-workshop fee as long as space is available.
