Acutech Joins FVCC NIMS Credentials Committee

A new program at Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell, MT will offer students the opportunity to earn nationally-recognized National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) credentials beginning this fall. NIMS credentials are used by metalworking companies as standards for hiring.

Dean Grommet, co-owner of Acutech, Montana’s most advanced metalworking facility, has joined the committee that will review each student’s final project prior to the student passing their NIMS certifications.

Acutech is a cutting edge metalworking facility that specializes in supply chain manufacturing as well as manufacturing for Montana’s growing energy industry. Acutech has worked with FVCC in the past by offering insights into what skills are needed for students to be successful in Montana’s manufacturing job market.
