SWINDON, U.K. - Aug. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- How many marriages last for a decade? Sadly, according to the latest statistics from the Office of National Statistics, almost half of all divorces occur in the first ten years. Business partnerships are just as likely to be short-lived, especially in today’s still-recovering economy.

So it’s no small feat for Swindon’s Rombourne Serviced Offices and Hub Network Services (HNS) to not only have maintained a successful partnership for over a decade, but also for each to have thrived from it.  In a near classic example of synergistic business expansion, both companies have played pivotal roles in the growth of the other.

“We’ve more than doubled our serviced office portfolio since 2004,” says Rombourne’s South West Area Sales Manager, Ravi Kaur.  “We now have several thousand tenants needing IT and telephony and we wouldn’t have been able to meet those needs without HNS’ expertise.  They’re much more than a supplier; what they bring to the table is actually a fundamental part of our service offering.”

Ten years ago, Rombourne had four business centres in Cardiff and Bristol.  Now the high-end serviced office provider has nine, including two in Newport and its recently opened Kingston House in Lydiard Fields, Swindon.  Ensuring that every single one of its tenants has first class, hitch-free IT and telephony services is a huge endeavour.

According to HNS’ Client Director, John Lissenden, the secret is a balance of always being on-top of the latest technological developments whilst never over-selling the features.  “You do hear of other serviced office tenants having problems with things like slow broadband,” he says.  “They’ve been promised a speed and a level of service which just isn’t possible for the area, or with the equipment their landlord has.  By contrast, we use state-of-the-art IT systems and ultra-fast broadband in all of Rombourne’s centres, and we offer pre-sale IT analysis and support packages.  It’s an excellent way of ensuring that prospective tenants’ expectations and needs are met from the outset.”

HNS’ latest project for Rombourne has been the installation of all the IT and telephony equipment in the company’s recently-opened Kingston House in Swindon.  The three-storey Grade ‘A’ building can accommodate almost 200 work stations, and HNS has used the very latest VOIP technology and a ‘self-healing’ Cisco powered network.  “It offers the highest levels of reliability and performance,” says Lissenden.

Swindon is one of the UK’s top 5 towns for inward business investment, and has the highest GVA per head in the West.  “As a new-to-the-area serviced office provider, we didn’t want to risk our reputation or investment by using anything other than the best IT structure in Kingston House,” says Kaur.  “The system which HNS have installed for us is superb, and we believe it’ll give us an edge over our competitors.  HNS have always come up trumps for us, and I’m sure our business partnership will continue to go from strength to strength as both our companies grow.”
