WESTON, Mass. - Aug. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- P.J. McMann, Executive Director of Liberty Quest Foundation Ltd. has announced that Chip Ingram, founder of the Living on the Edge Ministry, is pleased contribute his audio sermons to assist the Foundation's challenge of providing quality Christian programming for inmates in the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

Living on the Edge exists to help Christian live like Christians. The ministry provides biblical teaching and practical tools help believers live out their faith on a daily basis by fulfilling God's calling on their life.

The biggest challenge for the Streaming Faith Initiative is to bring the word of God to inmates who have limited access via professional produced sermons delivered through streaming audio. Liberty Quest Foundation is attempting to have the BOP to agree to make available to its inmates free religious programming by an all-star cast of faith-based audio providers.

A podcast is a multimedia file made available over the internet for download and playback on a computer, iPod, or any mp3player. While inmates in the BOP do not have access to the internet, an internal network exists within the BOP whereby prisoners are allowed the privilege to purchase and download MP3 players and music. So far little additional, increment cost, wholesome and spiritually uplifting content can be made available to those imprisoned in the federal system and who are on the road to and looking for redemption.

The Streaming Faith Initiative wants religious programming to be made available for free download on the BOP's network to those inmates who request it. By being able to listen to sermons as well as hymns, those who have reading difficulties or are audio learners can still hear and benefit from the words of God.

Chip Ingram says, "The truth is that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He promises to help those who cry out to him. There are many brokenhearted and dispirited in prison. It is a dark place. We are very pleased to be part of this Initiative to be able to help bring more of the Life, the Way and the Truth to those in such a desperate place, who are in need of light. Those incarcerated will find that when they cry out to him and ask him to help,he will."

Liberty Quest Director, PJ McMann, is truly excited about having Chip Ingram's support for the Streaming Faith Inititiave. The more support the Inititiave receives from well-established leaders in the religious community like Chip Ingram, the closer the Foundation is to strengthing souls and lowering recidivism rates. McMann stated, "Religion offers those incarcerated a connection to the community. In addition to providing hope, in what for many can appear to be a hopeless situation, inmates gain direction, greater self-control and meaning for their life from the practice of religion and knowing that God loves them. Such knowledge enhances peace and personal contentment. Allowing a prisoner to have greater access to more religion via a variety of means is a good thing. I know because I've been there and have personally experienced it."
