Speakeasy Art Gallery presents: Dave Calver

BOONTON, N.J. - Aug. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Dave Calver's work is a playful mix of whimsy and mischief. His stellar technique initially commands your attention and draws you in for a closer look. Upon further inspection, you discover and can explore the wonderful worlds that he creates and the stories that he is communicating. His drawings and sculptures will be on exhibit at Speakeasy Art Gallery in Boonton, NJ from September 5th through October 24th.

Dave is an artist/illustrator originally from Rochester, NY and currently working out of Palm Springs, CA. He studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and began working as an illustrator in New York City soon after. In his over 30 year career, he has accumulated an impressive client list including the likes of Esquire, Newsweek, New York Times, Playboy, Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, Time, USA Today, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Washington Post and many more. His artwork was recently featured in Taschen's "100 Illustrators" where he is featured alongside some of the top contemporary illustrators working today from around the world.
