PRLog - Aug. 23, 2014 - MELBOURNE, Australia -- HelloLocal, a clever location and context aware smartphone App, delivers information to people’s smartphones based on their precise location using the latest iBeacon, NFC and proximity marketing technology.

“Our vision has been to create an app that allows people to discover great offers, deals and information based on their exact location.

It is one App that we hope is adopted globally for smart cities, retailers and destination brands and the only App a consumer needs to discover fantastic location-based content.” said David Burden, co-founder of HelloLocal.

HelloLocal is unique as the App automatically rebrands itself based on its location, so at even given point of time, it may present as “Hello Bendigo”, or “Hello Sydney Airport” or “Hello Brand Name” and provide consumers simply with information and offers around them.

“Consumers are not going to download a whole bunch of destination based Apps and that is why we believe a non-commercial, self branding App was vitally important for growth of Beacons deployments delivering both highly localised information and offers” said David Burden.

The founders of HelloLocal include industry veterans David Burden (Legion Interactive, BlueSkyFrog) , Rohan Lean (MessageNet, RedCoal) and Brent Nolan (Blunt Agency). HelloLocal is powered by the proximity technology developed locally by David Burden and Rohan Lean’s company iProximity.net

Winners of the 2014 Australian Mobile & App Awards were selected by a panel of industry peers and business professionals appointed by design100.

The Assessment Process involves an expert judging panel, members of the design industry and people from the design marketplace. The Design 100 Award Programs are one of a very small number worldwide that take all three of these opinion groups into consideration in deciding the overall category winners.

“We are thrilled to have picked up an award of this calibre and its acknowledgment as one of Australia’s best new Apps, especially given our recent launch. In the coming weeks we will be rolling out our first Bendigo Zone offering a totally new way for the local community to find great offers and information around them, something we are very excited about” said David Burden
