Aug. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- We invite you to join us at What’s New What’s Next, the New York Design Center’s highly anticipated annual event, and discover all that transFORM has to offer on September 18th from 2pm - 9pm. transFORM will be displaying a new custom designed wall unit made with our new material, Shinnoki pre-finished wood. transFORM Gallery will also be hosting it’s premiere NYC art exhibit and a presentation on art consulting.

The custom wall unit and media center created with Shinnoki contrasts a radiant high gloss orange with a warm wood grain for a balanced and modern look. The unit contains a sliding door that alternately hides a television and reveals a shelf. It also features a floating backing panel and inset lighting that enhance the spacious look of the unit. The plentiful floor to ceiling storage, both open and in drawers, provides ample room to store and display books, sculptures and home decor. Opposite the open shelving is a matte black glass fronted cabinet to house your favorite drinks and glassware for quick entertaining.

Shinnoki possesses all the timeless aspects of wood, both visually and to the touch, in a contemporary color palette. Shinnoki has wood’s warmth, style, authenticity and sense of home. Each panel is Forest Stewardship Council and Pure Wood certified, and sustainably produced with a process developed by expert woodworkers in Menen, Belgium. Durable, affordable and luxurious, it is an excellent option when considering value and quality.  Shinnoki exemplifies the modern aesthetic found in fine European furniture.

About Rock, Paper, Scissors

transFORM Gallery is excited to present our premiere art exhibit, Rock, Paper, Scissors, at our Manhattan Showroom in the New York Design Center. Rock, Paper, Scissors explores the way an artist's unique choices of medium shape their process and their artwork. From rock and metal sculptures to burned paper and elaborate collage, these artists manipulate seemingly simple objects into constructs of the imagination. Common items and supplies are re-imagined and brought to life through surprising techniques. The exhibit features an eclectic and international mix of paintings, sculpture, collage, photography, and mixed media by Lubomir Tomaszewski, Rodolfo Edwards, Glenn Fischer, Mark Van Wagner, Michael Buscemi, and Wayne Zebzda.  Come and experience one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork and share wine and conversation with exhibit curators and art consultants, Kara O’Neill, transFORM Gallery Art Director and guest curator, Lisa Cooper.

About Untapped Revenue for Designers

Kara O’Neill, transFORM Gallery Art Director, and Art Consultant, Lisa Cooper, will share best practices on how to find quality decorative artwork that transforms your client’s home.  The discussion will cover a range of topics including the display of artwork from paintings to sculptures, current trends, and the hanging and care of artwork.
