Grantham University’s “Top CFO” Ed Sammarco Joins Hillcrest of Kansas’ Board of Directors

LENEXA, Kan. - Aug. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Nonprofit organizations, like Hillcrest Transitional Housing (http://www.hillcresttransitionalhousing.org/), generally rely on volunteers to serve as their life energy. Grantham University’s Chief Financial Officer Ed Sammarco, recently named one of Kanas City Business Journal’s top CFOs, joined Hillcrest of Kansas’ board of directors and will also serve as a representative to the newly established Youth Scholarship Fund.

Grantham and Hillcrest have a long-standing working relationship, which is how Sammarco first became aware of the board opportunity. In this role, he will analyze the Kansas Hillcrest locations’ activities and support and provide recommendations to the local affiliate director.

Earlier this year, Grantham teamed up with Hillcrest to support their local Walk for the Homeless in which funds were raised to help homeless families with transitional housing and training to become self-sufficient. This October, Grantham will also serve as a silver sponsor for its annual gala at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park.
