PRLog - Aug. 21, 2014 - PRINCETON, N.J. -- Global satellite operator, SES, has chosen National Business Parks’ College Park at Princeton Forrestal Center for its commercial sales and satellite engineering office. Headquartered in Luxembourg, SES has redesigned its local Princeton office to accommodate its sales, engineering and service locations in one office to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation. National Business Parks is proud to have worked with SES and TAO Architecture + Design to construct the office and engineering space for the company to operate 23 of its 55 satellites, which provide high-quality broadcast television channels and high-speed broadband services to millions of people on land, at sea and in the air.
4 Research Way, Princeton, NJ
According to Vincent Marano, Chief Operating Officer of NBP, “We are honored and excited to have been selected by SES as the location for their new satellite operations center. As a top-notch office complex in the tri-state area, College Park has continued to attract leading research and technology companies from around the world.” With a heavy emphasis on the ability to provide backup power, generators, and the connectivity necessary to operate the company’s satellites, NBP successfully converted 20,000 square feet of existing office space in 4 Research Way into a fully functioning operations center, connecting all of SES’ various sites on a worldwide basis. The design included relocating twelve satellite controllers from both the company’s Vernon, NJ and Woodbine, MD locations, with all of the work performed while the company continued to operate.
