DALLAS - Aug. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Social media is a communication tool which can be used everywhere – for profit and non-profits and must now be included in all business plans.  Non-profits often benefit in extraordinary ways through the use of social media platforms, crowdfunding and partnerships – Razoo, Causes, Buzzbnk, Indiegogo, and GiveMobi.  SMB Dallas recognizes how social media is used for donations, funding, volunteers, create awareness and many other challenges faced by a non-profit.  The August 28, 2014 meeting will focus on cause marketing for both businesses and non-profits.

This multi perspective panel will bring out many points – these are just a few . . . three panelists will discuss how they have used Social Media to promote their “Cause.”   From the business that uses cause marketing to promote their business, to the business that assists non-profits in developing their campaigns, to the non-profit who has worked with businesses and organizations to promote their cause.

Nick Marino Jr, is the Director of Social Change at TangoTab, a company that is working to end hunger in America.  TangoTab is a mobile app that provides people free restaurants offers.  Every time a person uses an offer, TangoTab feeds a hungry American in your city.  Random facts about Nick - in 2010 Nick started a blog, The Revolving Mind and was named 2012’s 30 Under 30 Future Business Leaders of Dallas.  


Kathy Catoe is a principal of KTO Group, LLC, a full-service marketing consultancy that utilizes social media strategy as part of an integrated marketing plan.  She has a Bachelor of Journalism in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin.  Kathy is a member of the Social Media Club of Dallas and manages their Pinterest and Google+ platforms in addition to being one of their guest bloggers.  For the panel, Kathy’s cause will be the NAMI walk.

Meagan Bubela is the VP of Marketing for Goodwill.  Since 1923, the mission-based operation has relied on material and monetary donations to generate revenue, fund programs and help create jobs.  Goodwill Dallas is honored to be the 1st recipient of the West Dallas Chamber’s Legend Award for economic impact and continued support to the West Dallas community!!!  Meagan is a Texas A&M graduate and passionate about helping others.
