WCS News Issue 3 Explores Choice Between WCS and WMS

Aug. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- In the third issue of WCS News, a weekly e-news publication, Warehouse Control Systems (WCSs) that examined which is needed, WCS or WMS (warehouse management system). As operations and fulfillment technology continues to evolve, merchants face a decision of implementing a WMS, a WCS, or both.  WCS technology came along in the mid-1990's to bridge the gap between the WMS and the warehouse floor by allocating, balancing, and managing tasks executed by material handling equipment and systems in real-time.
