DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Aug. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Daytona Beach, FL – In response to more than 700 runners loosing their registration money after the 'Run or Dye' race that was scheduled for September in Daytona Beach was canceled, and organizers refused to refund runners registration money, the Ocean Deck 5k Beach and Fun Run organizers decided to offer free admission to their race with proof of payment to the Run or Dye race.

“As soon as we heard about people not receiving their registration money back, we knew we had to do something,” said Liz Soule, Outreach Coordinator at SMA’s BEACH House. “Our race is a fundraiser for SMA’s BEACH House, but we couldn’t stand by and let these runners get nothing for their investment,” she added

The Ocean Deck 5k Beach and Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, November 8th at 4pm at the Ocean Deck in Daytona Beach. There will be a fun run for kids to follow. The race is timed by Run 4 A Cause.

To register for the race, go to smabehaviorial.org/5k. For more information, or if you are interested in being a sponsor of the race, contact Liz Soule, Outreach Coordinator at BEACH House at 386-236-3309 or esoule@smabehavioral.org.
