Celebrate the Foods of Rosh Hashanah with Chef Joshua Lewin at the Boston Center for Adult Education

BOSTON - Aug. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- WHAT: On Monday, September 22nd, 2014 from 6:00PM-9:00PM, the BCAE will welcome chef Joshua Lewin for a special class, “Celebrating Foods of Rosh Hashanah,” as part of its ongoing Celebrity Chef Series. Lewin, accompanied by Katrina Jazaerie, specializes in bringing traditions to life through the art of food and cooking. Their company "Bread and Salt” has become a collection of diligently researched events covering everything from the cuisine in Central Texas, the American South, Persian New Year, and both Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jewish traditions. Their extensive knowledge about Jewish tradition and foods will be the foundation for their hands-on cooking class where students will have the opportunity to cook both classic and modern dishes of Jewish tradition including braided round challah, bread with salt and fenugreek, couscous with 7 vegetables, and smoked fish cakes followed by something sweet.
