PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Aug. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- T&R Independent Books the newly formed family owned business, today completes thestructuring of itself to have the greatest opportunity for a successful publishing and marketing experience. The announcement of the creation of the Office of Company Vice President is the final piece to be put in place.

With that in mind, Ronald F. Riddle has accepted the position of Company Vice President (hereinafter called Vice President) of T&R Independent Books. The new vice president brings a lifetime of experience to his new position and that should serve him and the company well now and into the future.

Ronald was born and raised in Michigan, where he spent the greatest portion of his life. The son of a successful salesman, he learned from him the importance of hard work,  honesty, and knowing your product. Like his wife, he had a mother who was self-employed with her own beauty shop. However, it was his firsthand observation of his father's salesmanship and knowledge that left an indelible impression on his mind.

After leaving the U.S. Navy, he struggled to put together his first novel. To put food on the table he needed income and with that in mind he became an installer for Western Electric, which at that time was an subsiderary of ATT, and later worked in the Bell System itself. Eventually he landed two jobs that have contributed to his writing career.

The first of these two jobs was working for Office Max as an Associate. There he learned that actual selling is difficult business. His experience at Office Max fueled his desire to learn more about selling, especially after he wrote his first novel in 2003.

But it was his job as Financial Secretary for an Independent Baptist Church that contributed heavily with its emphasis on accounting, accuracy, and planning. Although not in any way associated with writing, the experiences there prepared him for his new job as vice president where one of his responsibilities will be accounting.

His job of Financial Secretary was preceded by another event. While he had a natural bent toward writing, he also saw the need for God in his life and in 1973 received Christ as his Savior shortly after turning thirty. His relationship with God and the lessons learned over the years have also prepared him for this new venture.

In 2005 Ronald, along with his wife, launched the Christian Writ Bookstore. This partnership with his wife proved beneficial as the store, which was completely online, marketed a variety of fiction and non-fiction books. During this venture Mr. Riddle learned the nuts and bolts of running an online store; knowledge that will be helpful in his new hands on position.

During this time Mr. Riddle (visit him at http://www.rfrederickriddle.com) was busy writing novels such as Refuge: The Genesis Chronicles (2003), Adam's Chronicles (2005), Perished: The World That Was (2007), The Rise of Shem (2010), and Dead Eye Will (2012). This provided him not only experience in writing, but in marketing outside the store.

Today he is a member of Goodreads and Bublish, while his books are listed with Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other retailers. He also has experience in talk radio and edited a newsletter for a time.

Although the bookstore was beginning to grow and show a profit they moved to Florida in 2008 to take care of his mother-in-law 24/7. This and the collapsing economy forced them to close the business in 2009.  But the experience had been positive and prepared him to become Vice President of T&R Independent books.

As mentioned above Ronald will be responsible for Accounting. Another important role is managing both his and his wife's websites. He is the IT man for rfrederickriddle.com, tressriddle.com, and tr-indbkstore.com. In that position he will have responsibility for web content, and design.

In conjunction with the websites, he also will manage the online store, T&R Independent Books store. There his knowledge and experience derived from his successful former bookstore has prepared him well. The store will only handle products which either of the Riddles create. Already known for autographed books by R. Frederick Riddle, it will also offer autographed books by Tress Riddle. It is also known for discounted prices, a practice which will be continued.

In addition to all of these responsibilities, Ronald will have oversight of the company's product efforts. This involves the oversight of both print and ebook book formatting, printing of books, and any other issues or needs related to publishing.
