Follow on Google News | Women To Be Empowered As Conference Gets UnderwayCairns’ very first The Imperfect Mum Empowering Women Conference will take place this Saturday, August 23 at the Cairns Pullman Reef Hotel Casino.
By: The Imperfect Mum The topic for her speech - Live Your Truth - finding your authentic self will set the tone for the whole conference, which is focused on empowering women to become happier and more fulfilled in their lives. “What would your life look like if you lived your truth? Where would we be as a society if we all accepted each other's truth? “These are some of the questions I will be asking, for it is only when you embrace your truth and find your authentic self your life becomes everything you ever wanted.” Ms Vallely said she was incredibly proud of what she had achieved, watching the Imperfect Mum, and online community of more than 34,000 women grow since it was first established three years ago. “The idea for the Imperfect Mum came from my own personal tragedy after losing my first son, and trying to cope with post natal depression after the birth of my daughter.” Ms Vallely said many women, including herself suffered in silence, until she decided to take action and create a safe place where they could go and receive support. “It has grown beyond my wildest dreams, today the website is receiving more than 65,000 visitors each month and The Imperfect Mum’s Facebook audience has reached more than 32,000 people from across the world.” Conference delegates will also have the opportunity to hear from Suzie Botross, influential blogger and author of Break Free from Motherly Guilt and childhood behavioural consultant Nathalie Brown from Easy Peasy Kids as well as Kirri White from Kirri White Coaching. “Suzie will speak on the hot top of motherly guilt, we have all experienced it, but how do we break free of it? “Suzie will share four strategic keys that will help women develop practical skills to break free from this epidemic. “Kirri will also discuss how we can embrace our role as mums, while continuing to nourish our personal development. It is a fascinating talking point, and attendees will love hearing from not only these two women but all our speakers.” “Those who choose to attend this conference will be making an important investment into themselves and their families. “The pressures of motherhood should not have to be dealt with alone. The primary feature of this conference is the sisterhood itself, the ability to connect and engage with a supportive and judgment-free network of mothers,” she added. The Imperfect Mum Conference will be held on August 23 at the Cairns Pullman Reef Hotel Casino.
