LoanMart Racing battles through mechanical issues at Irwindale Raceway

Encino, Calif. -- Mechanical issues usually come when you least expect it, and when it rains it pours. That was the case for Team LoanMart at their home track of Irwindale Event Center on Saturday, August 16^th. Two of the three LoanMart Racing entries on Back to School night dealt with major mechanical problems that didn’t allow a fighting chance against the fierce competition of both touring racing series, Spears SRL Southwest Tour and Lucas Oil Modified.

The Irwindale grandstands were full and the fans were excited for a fast night of racing kicked off by The Spears SRL Southwest Tour. The Regional Stock Car Series featured 21 cars with drivers from across the western United States. Unfortunately for LoanMart, their sole entry, the #25 car driven by San Bernardino’s Brandon Loverock, had a throttle issue that put him in the wall during the qualifying round and ultimately ended his weekend.

The Lucas Oil Modified Tour, presented by LoanMart, featured a record-breaking 35 cars. The LoanMart Super Fast 75 was round seven of a 10- round season. With two entries in the feature, LoanMart, California’s largest auto tile loan lender (http://www.800loanmart.com/), was hoping for better odds than the first race of the night, but to no avail. The #24 car, driven by Shelby Stroebel from Meridian, ID, had a brake line leak, which held him back to 25^th position. For Team LoanMart, the only car without  mechanical issues was the #55, driven by Linny White, aka “Colton Cowboy.” He battled through the pack of 30 cars to finish 10^th.

It was not the night LoanMart hoped for after Shelby Stroebel’s win in the Lucas Oil Modified tour last month. However, they are looking ahead to Round 8 of the 10-race series at Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway in Blythe, CA on September 27.
