Announcing the Winners of the 2014 Creative Froyo Flavor Awards

SAN FRANCISCO - Aug. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- What’s the best creative froyo flavor out there? On June 2, 2014, the International Frozen Yogurt Association (IFYA) and FrozenDessertSupplies.com launched the first “Creative Froyo Flavor Awards” contest to find the best creative froyo flavors. Two and a half months later, the search has ended and we’re proud to announce the fan favorites.

1^st Place: Strawberries & Cream by Yotopia (https://www.facebook.com/yotopiafrozenyogurt), 132 S Clinton St. and 620 Pacha Parkway, Iowa City, IA

2^nd Place: Thai Iced Tea by Yogurt Hut, Southern Oregon

The winners were selected using a two stage process. First, frozen yogurt shops across the country were invited to submit their unique, creative frozen yogurt flavors. A panel of frozen yogurt experts from the IFYA, FrozenDessertSupplies.com and Nanci’s Frozen Yogurt, selected the top 5 flavors based on creativity and appeal. These flavors were posted on the IFYA FB page and the online public vote determined the two winners.

This desire to recognize and reward frozen yogurt shops for taking that extra step and bringing exciting flavors to the public is what inspired this contest. Contest winners will receive a prize package of frozen yogurt supplies from contest sponsor, FrozenDessertSupplies.com. The grand prize winner will receive 2 cases of cups, 2 cases of spoons and 2 cases of lids, with an approximate retail value of $400. The second place winner will receive 1 case of cups, 1 case of spoons and 1 case of lids (a $200 value).
