PR agency owner adds expertise in PR profession for ML5 Magazine

INDIANAPOLIS - Aug. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Publicist Samantha Pounds has added her expertise of being a PR professional in the latest issue of ML5 Magazine, a new magazine aimed at taking an exclusive behind the scenes look at many professions.

She has made the transition from being a journalist to a PR representative of her own company as she shares her journey of the crossroad of what it took to excel in both professions.

“When I first became a journalist, I was interested and heavily intrigued by breaking news stories. I considered myself an investigative journalist. That then transcended into me wanting to do something different in the media.” said Pounds.

Pounds is the proud owner of her own PR agency, S’Tiare PR Consulting where she focuses on working with clients with a smaller budget.

“When I first jumped into PR, I came across many businesses that needed the help, but they didn’t have a high end budget and I wanted to help.” said Pounds who is currently serving as the lead publicist for The Cupboard Inc. Presents: Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple.

Alongside her journalism and PR career, Pounds is currently working on a new fiction novel where she will have the chance to go back to her roots of creative writing.

“This is a lifelong dream of mines. I have constantly started writing and put the book back down from a lack of creativity. I am much more focused now that my company has taken off and I anticipate a release to be later in 2015.” she said.
