"My Fingerpaint Masterpiece" by Sherrill S. Cannon book review

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Aug. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- (New York, New York)  Award-winning author Sherrill S. Cannon has come out with a new children’s book called “My Fingerpaint Masterpiece.”  Written in rhyme and depicting a story about an art teacher who lets the children draw with their fingers after dipping them in paint. It is a child's dream, and a lesson of imagination and fun! On the way home the fingerprint painting escapes into the wind by accident.

“That wind took my picture up high in the sky. It tossed it and turned it and helped it to fly!

So in the story the painting gets in a pile of distinguished artists that happened to be working outside. Will they notice that this print landed on the pile? The story is engaging and a fun read for all ages. “My Fingerpaint Masterpiece” gives a gentle lesson in believing that anything is possible. Every person has a potential of being an artist either great or small.

I related very well with the story as I have framed many of my children's first pieces of art. They still hang in my home. These are the precious years and any parent will embrace and relate to this story. I think I just might run out and buy myself some paints. Well, we all have the artist child inside of us waiting to explode. Even a child’s book like this can inspire and light a flame.

The illustrations are in color and have a clear appreciation that young children can understand.
