PRLog - Aug. 18, 2014 - KINGSTON, Ontario -- Conquistador Press is proud to announce the publication of a new paperback edition of Samuel Hawley’s monumental work The Imjin War: Japan’s Sixteenth-Century Invasion of Korea and Attempt to Conquer China. The Imjin War is the most comprehensive account ever published in English of the seven-year-long conflict, and includes the full story of Korean naval commander Yi Sun-sin, subject of the hit movie Myeongnyang from South Korean director Kim Han-min, now showing in North America as The Admiral: Roaring Currents.

The Imjin War took author Samuel Hawley five years to research and write. It was first published in hardcover by the Royal Asiatic Society in Seoul and the Institute of East Asian Studies at UC Berkeley.
