Skeleton Crew 2014 Stay Tuned
- Aug. 18, 2014 - DETROIT --
Skeleton Crew is in the recording studio finishing up mixing a song the band calls their ‘Bey-lated’
thank you to Beyonce for including the band in her “***FLAWLESS”
video. “We’ve taken a bit longer on this project, but we want it to be perfect,”
said Scott Christy, Skeleton Crew guitarist and founding member.
Skeleton Crew is recording with Emmy-Award winning producer, Kevin Sharpe, at Detroit’s Metro 37 Recording Studios. The song, which the band remains mum on as to whether it is an original or a cover, will be available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and Nimbit among others, and as free download release for charity on select Skeleton Crew websites in September.
A video to accompany the song is also in the works. In the meantime, the band has created a short video teaser, which is available here: http://youtu.be/Wv2skFNeLA0
Since its release on Friday, December 13, 2013, The “***FLAWLESS”
video has showered worldwide media attention on Skeleton Crew. Time, People, Showbiz Tonight, Inside Edition, L.A. Times, MTV News and TMZ to name a few have all come calling. The timing of her release is almost twenty years to-the-date when Skeleton Crew faced a 12-year-old Beyonce and her then group, Girls Tyme on “the American Idol of its time” TV show: Star Search. Skeleton Crew defeated Girls Tyme, but went on to lose in the semi-finals. The Girls Tyme Star Search loss became “a defining moment of [her] childhood,”
according to Beyonce.“The recording is coming out simply amazing”
said William Pilipchuk, lead singer and cofounder of Skeleton Crew. “I know we’re going to surprise a lot of people with this one.”
