TechBiz Connection Monthly Forum to Consider What Can Make or Break a Mobile Gaming Business

IRVINE, Calif. - Aug. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- TechBiz Connection will host a forum on mobile gaming featuring an expert panel of industry executives and developers who will discuss the issues that can make or break a mobile gaming business on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the law offices of Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear in Irvine.

According to Jack Bicer, TechBiz Connection president, there are five critical areas that can directly affect whether a mobile gaming business succeeds or fails, and the panel will address each area during the interactive discussion:

The panel moderator is Joe Morris of TechMediaTel, a technology, media and telecommunication solutions expert. His background includes multiple startup leadership roles - most notably with Verizon Wireless and Konami Digital Entertainment. He has had a 34 year blended active / reserve Marine Corps career. Currently Morris serves as a colonel, in a joint role as a director of the U.S. Pacific Command's (PACOM) Joint Operations Command Center (JOC). Morris maintains a top secret security clearance, and continues to actively work national security issues in partnership with the U.S. State Department, Defense, USAID, other national security agencies, allied militaries, and non-governmental agencies. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Panelist Thumbnail Bios

·         John C. Brandstetter, President, Flying Tiger Entertainment Inc. As a video game developer Mr. Brandstetter is the developer and designer of many games for many platforms. He has started and run several games companies and was responsible for the launch of the Turbo Duo, and the namesake of the title character of the Johnny Turbo advertising campaign. Mr. Brandstetter also worked on, Command and Conquer, Star Wars 32X, David Robinson Basketball, as well as produced and designed Time Crisis: Project Titan.

·         Bob Drobish, CEO, Application Cartography. Mr. Drobish has more than 15 years of leadership experience in venture-back start-ups with 10 years in online and mobile games. He is currently working on creative solutions to the mobile app “discovery problem.” He worked extensively with Sleepy Giant on mobile game strategy and franchise development. Previously, he was a founder and the CEO of True Games Interactive, a global publisher of MMO games that was acquired by India-based global media giant UTV. Prior to True Games, Mr. Drobish was SVP of Operations at K2 Network. He has been a speaker at the Game Developers Conference, Octane, the IEEE and the Technology Business Connection. He earned his MBA with honors at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business and his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

·         Harish Rao, Founder, HARVIK. With over 15 years of production and executive management experience Mr. Rao possesses a rare combination of project management expertise, entrepreneurial acumen and the unique ability to build highly successful creative teams not only in the U.S. but also in India and abroad. He is currently the director and founder of Harvik, LLC, a company globally positioned to provide consulting services to the creative industry both in India and the United States.
