Thriving Business Network Connects Small Companies and Professionals

LAS VEGAS - Aug. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Small companies and individuals who are seeking the support and encouragement of other successful business professionals are increasingly joining Business Connections of Nevada (BCN). BCN is a networking group that partners entrepreneurs, salespeople, and associates who are leaders in their fields. The mission of BCN is to build relationships with business owners for the purpose of networking, sharing, inspiration, motivation, and referral leads among its members and to exchange new business opportunities. Becky Stonebarger founded BCN in 2012 because of her passion for nurturing small businesses.

"The little guy is at such a disadvantage in business, and I want to contribute
to their success," she said. "I believe in shopping small business when I am seeking
partners, and the structure of BCN is a reflection of my commitment to seeing businesses thrive. The cost for attending some of the early BCN meetings was just $1.00.

As a detail-oriented person who had a great deal of experience planning events,
Stonebarger was able to create a constructive and welcoming environment for the
members of BCN from the very beginning. After working with a business coach who was a member of the group, she gained a different perspective on what she could do to connect more business professionals. As a result of the change in her thought process, BCN began to grow exponentially.

"I started to see the bigger picture in early 2013, and that allowed me to expand
my vision of what BCN could become," Stonebarger said. "I really began to see the value in what I was offering. I spent a lot of time investigating networking groups during that period, and I saw a lot of things that I liked and didn't like.

The first official BCN connection started in Henderson and quickly grew to 60 members. Soon thereafter, BCN added two more locations. Stonebarger credits the collaborative efforts of BCN members for the organization's rapid expansion.

"Many of BCN's concepts and procedures were formulated in focus groups composed of members," she said. "I like to gather people together for brainstorming sessions to hear other people's perspectives. The company logo was actually designed by a member in a contest we held."

What was initially a gathering of a few business owners has grown into an expanding networking organization with four locations. BCN members meet at 7:30 a.m. Mondays in Henderson, Tuesdays in North Las Vegas, and Thursdays in Southwest Las Vegas.

BCN has also recently taken to the airwaves with BCN Talk, an Internet-based radio show that airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on vegasallnetradio.com. BCN Talk offers late-night styled conversation, education, and business networking for Las Vegas businesses.

Regardless of the venue, all BCN members share a common commitment - to offer their clients and referrals superior products and services. There are no penalties for
non-attendance or non-performance, and direct sales companies are kept to a minimum. Multiple membership levels are available to fit the needs of any business.
