Follow on Google News | A book about the concept of figurative musicAt past we have seen that famous Indian painter Amar Singha has made a series of painting, by following a unique concept of musical rhythm which he found from some oldest mythological books. Name of that series was “Raag-Mala”.
By: Artist Amar Singha By following my question, he told that we know every musical rhythm has brought a unique feeling in human mind. By following that feeling author ( unknown ) described them as a human. This figurative idea is a unique and it is also related with our seasons. It is fact that in the world of modern classical music of India, singers are still following this concept, when they using a specific rhythm in his song. For an example he told about a rhythm named “Vairaba Raag.” He said that this rhythm is specified for dawn and perfect time of singing of this rhythm is 4 to 6 pm. It brings peacefulness in human mind and author imagined this rhythm, as an oldest monk who enjoying this rhythm at the time of sunrise. He depicted this rhythm in his canvas and also five basic rhythms which he included in his book named – “MY Musical Journey On Canvas.” Amar also described many interesting hidden historical stories behind these musical paintings in his book, which happened at the period of Mughal era. On that time, Indian miniature artists depicted a largest series of paintings ( more than 500 paintings) by following that unique concept. It is probably the first time an artist who not only depicted this unique series of musical paintings, but also written a book about this concept which published from Amazon.
