The September 6th event that is creatively titled, “The Modern Gatsby Celebration” will be held at BoConcept Chelsea, located at 144 W. 18^th St. New York, New York. That evening, guests are asked to arrive dressed to impress in clothing inspired by the novel: The Great Gatsby. As fans know, the novel was written by author, F. Scott Fitzgerald and set in the 1920s. Vintage New York City Magazine strives to showcase “vintage fashion with a modern twist,” and encourages guests to add a fashion forward “twist” to their vintage inspired clothing if they wish.

At the event, guests will mingle amongst celebrities, fashion insiders, and other VIPs that are already set to attend the Vintage New York City Magazine event. The guest of honor and hostess for the evening will be the current Vintage New York City Magazine cover girl: Zuri McDaniels. Zuri is admired for being a fashion icon for her creative, diverse and own fashion forward style. In addition, it goes with out saying that Zuri McDaniels is a philanthropist, positive role model, and successful business woman. Zuri is married to her self-proclaimed “soul mate:” Darryl McDaniels. Darryl DMC McDaniels is best known as DMC from the legendary hip hop group RUN DMC , and for co-founding the non-profit organization: The Felix Organization.
