Entering its second year, CCWTN’s St. Sebastian Veteran Services program works with veterans and their families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. The program provides assistance in securing housing, accessing earned benefits, employment counseling and more.
Since launching the program in October 2013, CCWTN assisted 106 veterans by June 2013. By the end of the current grant (September 30, 2014), the program will have worked with over 160 veterans and their families whose service dates back to the Korean War. (Please see attached info graphic).
“We are grateful for the bi-partisan support of political leaders including Senators Alexander and Corker, Congressmen Cohen and Fincher and Mayors Wharton and Luttrell for their active efforts to help keep this program in Shelby County,” said Michael D. Allen, President & CEO of Catholic Charities of West Tennessee.
