Hengoed Court’s 101 room facility; currently undergoing a refurbishment, and Hengoed Park; a new extension comprising 120 rooms, required new lifts that would suit both existing locations in the original building as well as sites in the new building.
Ten Aritco 7000 lifts were specified to provide access to all three floors for the home’s residents; many of which are wheelchair users; along with their carers, visitors and catering staff. One of the key strengths of the Aritco 7000 is its flexibility – three versions of the lift were chosen to suit different areas of the building and multiple uses. Two and three stop lifts were sited internally and one Prime 7000 was sited externally to overcome interior space restrictions. The platform lifts require no pit and have a small footprint so they fitted easily into ideal locations within the care home. As a result they also proved to be a highly cost effective solution, fitting well within the budget.
The Aritco 7000 is an ideal choice for Care facilities needing to replace tired or unserviceable equipment with new reliable and cost effective replacements. An Artico 7000 platform lift is approximately 50% cheaper than a comparable conventional lift. And perhaps more importantly, the Aritco 7000 suits this environment due to the very low levels of disruption during the installation;
Des Davies, owner of Hengoed Court commented:
“Gartec provide us with the ideal solution for use with beds, wheelchairs, goods and equipment. Gartec’s team work to install the lifts quickly, and the lifts are easy to use for both employees and residents.”
