“The Bronx and the global community deserve a museum that respectfully preserves the rich culture and dynamic legacy of Hip Hop and guides the future of the art form. The vision of our founding members is to have a cultural institution located in the Bronx, that achieves that goal”, states Rocky Bucano, president of the museum. “This benefit concert at BB King in Times Square is the first in a series of planned fundraisers that will be held around the country to support the museum's development plan.

The mission of the Universal Hip Hop Museum (UHHM) is to honor the history of Hip-Hop Culture, its leaders and visionaries and to serve as a global institution that informs and encourages educational and cultural understanding of the art form throughout the world.
