PETERBOROUGH, U.K. - Aug. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Listening to and reading poetry is on the up, and with the rise in popularity of performance poetry there has never been a better time for poets to get their name out there. That’s why for poets entering Poetry Rivals is a must.... this year there is a publishing contract up for grabs, where the winner will have help from their personal publishing assistant to see their very own book published, marketed and sold in bookshops.

The competition is different to previous years, it is for over 18s only, there is a £10 entry fee, and the prize is MASSIVE! The top 100 poets will be published in an exclusive finalist book, which each finalist will receive 5 free copies of. The finalists will be invited to the slam final to perform their poem in front of a live audience, professional judges and press. The winner will be picked at the event and will then start to work with Bonacia Ltd to produce their book!

The talented Mark Grist is returning as host and judge for this year and more judges will be announced soon.

“It is great to be asked to be involved in Poetry Rivals again, I really enjoy being part of such a great event in the poetry world. The new format of the competition is fantastic and the prize is amazing!” says poet and Educational Consultant, Mark Grist.

For established poets and people new to writing poetry, Poetry Rivals is a great opportunity. For more details and how to enter visit http://www.poetryrivals.co.uk.
