Crisis response over the epidemic virus- Ebola

Margaret called up as the largest, severe and most complex kind of an outbreak of the deadly virus (Ebola). This case is seen after a near 4 (four) decades period. It is seen that nothing much has been done and implemented in order to provide timely defense of the deadly virus attack of Ebola.

The virus has been inflicting with heavy rise in human toll. The spreading of the virus Ebola in a deadly manner with major toll on human lives in West Africa has exposed how United States and various advanced nations are unprepared for providing protection and also the conditional treatments for those infected by it. There are around many African lives that are threatened by the dangerous Ebola virus which also doesn’t have any type of cure.

According to W.H.O (World Health Organization) around 1000 people got killed due to the Ebola virus of the infected persons where the count was 1800 in 4 of the West African nations. The medicines and other effective drugs that are prescribed for the treating of the infected people and for the healthy ones are under the initial stage of testing and the analysis states that even if the medicines are clear of the testing measure, they can be not produced in huge quantity as compared to the medical issue.

The above lack of quantity and uncertainties were spotted and highlighted by an American Doctor and an Aid worker (American) during their treatment that was given to them while they got infected during the period when they were into treating and caring the other infected patients in Liberia.

The drugs used in were those that had good working on monkeys but were not tested on Humans before. Due to this issue, they were immediately brought back to Atlanta for provisioning of best and essential treatment in isolation ward, Emory University Hospital. The issue remains unsolved as no people know if the drug actually caused any solution to those American.

The issue involves very lesser amount of the drug is actually available and those companies making the drug being small are facing the problem of capacity issues for production of larger quantities for providing treatments to the larger group of the population that are getting infected due to the virus attack. There is involvement of another drug which is in trials in clinics with a count of little amount of patients but these trials had to be suspended within effects as there was a fear of issues that could be harming the patients.

These reasons were involved while there were issues such as doubtful cases and there was hesitation in how to treat the virus Ebola or provide quality vaccination for it. According to the medical experts, it will take around a longer period of time prior to the provision of vaccine to the infected population. The C.D.C has escalated its response and is providing around more 50 (fifty) professionals in health care area to provide quality assistance. The issue has already led Nigeria to declare an emergency situation.
