Bestselling Author Anne Perry to Appear at Three Women At Woodstock Retreats in October 2014

REDONDO BEACH, Calif. - Aug. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- International bestselling author Anne Perry will appear at three Women At Woodstock 2014 retreats this October, where on opening night she will lead a moving discussion on "Taking Risks," along with author Victoria Zackheim. Perry also will teach two half-day writing workshops at each retreat.

Women At Woodstock is an online community and a series of on-the-ground retreat experiences for women 50 and over. Founded in 2012 with a retreat held at Emerson Resort in Woodstock, NY, this year Women At Woodstock is holding three retreats:

•   Emerson Resort & Spa, Woodstock NY - October 13-15
•   Charleston Harbor Resort & Spa - Charleston, SC - October 19-21
•   La Quinta Resort & Spa - Palm Springs, CA - October 26-28

Perry's two Women At Woodstock workshops are entitled: "Ripped From the Headlines" - on how to use current headlines to create plots that are powerful, universal and timeless; and "Making a Backstory Powerful" - exploring how past experiences can make an indelible mark on character and drive passions, hopes and fears.

Anne Perry is known throughout the world for her many historical novels, including the famous "Thomas Pitt" series about a Victorian policeman and his well-born wife Charlotte - which was filmed and broadcast on ITV featuring a young Keeley Hawes. The latest title in this series, Death On Blackheath, appeared on the New York Times bestseller list. Her prolific work also includes the beloved "Monk" private detective series, whose latest title is Blood On The Water. Registrations at Women At Woodstock retreats are limited - only 99 women will be accepted at each. Anne Perry's workshops are open to all retreat registrants. Non-registrants also can sign up for her workshops as long as space is available.
